Beheading generals before battle is one of the four great military honors of ancient times.
It is also one of the highest honors for a military general, and those who accomplish it can be called fierce generals.
The four great military honors are: First Ascension, Breaking Formation, General Beheading, and Flag Capture!
First Ascension: Being the first to climb up a city wall during a siege, secure a foothold, and open the way for fellows, surviving is honored as First Ascension.
Breaking Formation: no need to say, it is shredding enemy formations, known as Breaking Formation.
General Beheading: the act of killing the leading enemy general is honored as General Beheading.
Flag Capture: when a large army sets out, there must be a large flag, known as the Great Banner, which is the soul of an army. If the Great Banner falls, morale becomes unstable. Ancient armies mandated execution without question if the Great Banner fell and the Guard Flag Camp failed!
