For officers accustomed to using interrogation techniques, if a suspect doesn't cooperate, it doesn't mean they've gone in the wrong direction or caught the wrong person, it simply means their punches aren't hard enough.
They punched Lance twice, and when he remained silent, they planned to get tougher. Just then, the door opened.
Tom wasn't sure how "just in time" Lance meant, so he just sighed, "I'll talk to the senator about this."
"And about that... Death Angel thing."
Lance nodded slightly, looking at Tom, "If you really feel guilty..." He paused for a moment before continuing, "send me the information on the officers who laid hands on me today."
Tom's eyes widened slightly as he looked at Lance. Lance gave a smile, "We're a gang, we have our ways."
After a brief silence, Tom nodded, "But I'll still talk to the senator."
Lance nonchalantly shrugged, "Whatever."
