Admiral Miles didn't actually remember much of what Lance said; he just remembered he could secure tens of millions of funds every year.
That long string of numbers occupied all of his subconscious memory at the time, leaving no space for anything else, so when Senator Cleveland asked about it, he was at a loss for words.
Lance smiled and fully explained his thoughts, "I only handle the liquor supply on my end. As for other military bases and units, there's no way I can get involved, nor do I intend to."
"However, if their liquor supply is insufficient, I can lend a small hand from my side."
Senator Cleveland listened to what he said, his face showed an expression of incredulity, not because the idea was complex, profound, or difficult.
But because it was so damn simple, so simple that no one thought of it, and no one realized the opportunities within it.
