At the moment the door closed, Nate noticed Hunter picking up the phone again. Clearly, he was extremely busy right now.
Nate's originally pounding heart rate gradually steadied as he entered the interrogation room he was responsible for in his office.
The two officers conducting the interrogation immediately stood up, "Sir..."
Nate waved his hand, "Have you gotten anything out of him?"
The guy sitting in the chair looked extremely exhausted. Although he had a moment's respite due to the officers' break, it was far from enough.
The two officers appeared a bit embarrassed. They had used all the interrogation techniques they'd learned from others on this person but hadn't achieved any of the results they wanted.
This left them feeling very awkward, and it was clearly an issue with their own abilities.
If someone else were asking, they might not care as much, but it was Nate asking, their immediate superior, leaving them at a loss for words.
