Chapter 20 - Henry at Capital

After the incident in Vlad Henry left towards the capital city of the kingdom of Dan. On his trip he encountered a broken cart which looked like it was under attack by some monsters with a lot of bodies which seemed like guards and merchants. It seemed like none was alive, until he heared a faint voice of a girl far from the place of the incident. He searched around and found the girl along with a dwarf being surrounded by Krokodites, a type of monster that lives near the swamps. For a moment he wondered why they were there but, as he saw them charging towards the survivors, He rushed towards the monsters and swung his blade thus saving those two.

The now saved duo Thanked Henry and requested him to give them a ride to the nearby village. And thus he helped them again. And at the village they proposed to pay Henry a huge sum of money for his help and without reluctance he received the reward and soon left on his path to the Capital.

When he saw the capital fortress at the horizon he was astonished by its magnificient appearance. It was the largest city that he had ever seen. After the verification from the guards of the city gate, he set foot in the big city of Dan. First and formost he looked for a burger stall. Then looked for a place to stay. later he visited the adventures guild and looked for any quest thet he can do before the sun sets. The guild in the city was different from others because, it had wide range of quests that one can choose from. He decided to do a quest to earn some money. At the quest board he saw a lot of quests which had much greater rewards and he decided to take on a quest to decimate the orcs that has occupied the northen riverbanks outside the city. After a quick verification at the front desk he left for the mission.

At the riverbanks outside the city, there Henry saw traces of blood and a fight between the orcs and someone. Suddenly, Henry heared the roar of the orcs and rushed over there to investigate the scene. What he saw there was a girl on a horse with a sword in her hand and she lashed towards the orcs slaying them one by one. Henry who saw this was astonished both by her beauty and by her strength. Henry who was so attracted by the beauty felt a sword brushing against his neck. A man covered in cloak same as the girl was standing behind Henry with his sword on Henry's neck. He was brought before the girl and the man addressed her as "Your Highness". The girl restricted the man to not call her with that title and turned towards Henry.

She Introduced herself as Elena and asked about Henry's identity. Henry still in his trance answered to all the question she asked him. Elena's suspicion on him faded and asked her companion to release Henry. To compensate Henry for their rude behaviour she gave him a trinket and a address, where he can get one help when he shows the trinket at the address. Then she bid him farewell and they rode back on their ride.

Henry who was still in the trance woke up when Night meowed near his feet. He looked at Night and said, "She was a once in Beauty but seems like she is a noble. We don't even have the authority to look upon them" With a deep sigh, "Well atleast we don't need to fight these orcs, isn't it night?". Night purred as in acceptance. Henry then collected the ears of the orcs and collected the reward which was not even his, but fine. He then returned to the inn after collecting the reward and went to sleep with her face in his eyes.

At a luxury room. "Your highness, was it really neccessary to reward that man, the trinket." "Colin you don't know who he is. He is my brother's saviour and friend. Also he is strong, stronger than you", the girl replied to Colin's question. But Colin couldn't accept her saying that Henry was stronger than him, so he objected. The girl replied that" he holded back you know?". He still refused to accept that. When he was about to object her again, She gave him a cold stare which finally stopped him. She then ordered him to keep a close eye on Henry and said to herself,"I am watching, Henry".
