The two men exchanged a glance. Jing Hanye did not continue forward but instead turned back to leave with Gu Beicheng.
Gu Beicheng closed the door of the hospital room, leaving only Xia Yinian and Shen Qing inside.
"Nian Nian, does your head still hurt?" Shen Qing took two steps over and sat down on the bed.
Xia Yinian lightly pressed her lips together and shook her head.
"Just a little, it's nothing."
As soon as she finished speaking, Shen Qing's hand was already on the back of her head, gently massaging it.
"With Mom taking care of you, there's nothing to worry about."
Xia Yinian subtly curved her lips, leaning against Shen Qing's shoulder.
"Mom, did you know? Today I went to see one of your old acquaintances."
Xia Yinian hadn't mentioned today's events to Shen Qing, not wanting to cause too much alarm, so she hadn't informed Jing Hanye about going out either.
"My old acquaintance?" Shen Qing looked at her head, furrowing her brows slightly.
