Xia Yinian glanced at the man who approached, then dismissively looked away.
"Why are you coming from that direction?" she asked casually, without any special intent.
But when the words reached the man's ears, it felt different.
"Shouldn't you be asking my dear brother about that? Guarding his own family as if they were wolves, yet letting outsiders in."
Feng Yifan sat down on a chair not far from Xia Yinian, maintaining a lazy demeanor.
Xia Yinian didn't plan to argue with him. As a young master of the Feng Family, he still had to "climb up," so it was understandable if he was in a bad mood.
She looked down at her clasped hands, staying silent and motionless.
"What, Nian Nian doesn't consider herself an outsider?" Feng Yifan's voice rang out once more.
"I don't have the Feng surname, so I can certainly be considered an outsider. But I'm grateful Grandpa and Ah Yen treat me as one of their own," Xia Yinian said softly.
