Luffy, Usopp, Vivi, Sanji, Oliver, Elegg, and the sick Nami would be the people going to the village while Zoro and Karoo stayed behind to guard the Going Merry.
Luffy offered to carry Nami despite Sanji's objections, so he eventually agreed.
In the end, they finally left the ship while seeing various creatures.
"GYAHHH!! A bear!! Play dead!" Usopp shouted as he threw himself into the snow.
"It's a hiking bear. It's not dangerous," said the leader of the people. "Just don't forget to bow to show your respects."
"It's incredible. I've never seen a bear that size," Elegg whispered excitedly.
They kept walking until they reached the village, where a large number of rare animals could be seen living alongside the people as if it were nothing, which seemed great to Luffy and Usopp.
As they walked through the village, he greeted a man, and that man's name was revealed.
'Dalton, I had forgotten this man's name. Could it have been because he didn't seem very important to me?' Oliver thought.
Dalton guided them until they arrived at his house so Nami could rest.
"Put her on that bed. I'm going to heat up the room a bit," Dalton said, starting to place firewood in the stove. "Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. I am Dalton, the one in charge of protecting this island. I apologize for the hostile reception."
"Don't worry, there must have been a reason for it," Oliver said, touching his shoulder.
They placed Nami on the bed to settle her a bit, where they explained the situation to Dalton.
"She has a temperature of 40 degrees?!" Dalton said in shock.
"We have been able to control her temperature these past few days, but it hasn't dropped below this point. We just ran out of medicine today," Vivi explained to him.
"If it keeps rising, she will die," Dalton said.
"We know, but we don't know its cause, or how to fight it," Vivi said.
"Who cares? All we need is a doctor! Where is that witch?!" Sanji asked in an agitated tone.
"The witch? Do you see the mountains through the window?" Dalton asked them.
"Yes, they are very tall..."
While they were talking, outside were Luffy, Usopp, and Elegg playing in the snow.
"We have another person who likes to have fun, from what I see," Oliver said, looking at the snowman, dinosaur, and snow cannon.
"Those mountains are the Drum Rockies. Do you see the castle on the highest mountain? That is a castle without a King," Dalton said.
"What about that castle?" Vivi asked.
"The only doctor in this entire country, whom the people call a Witch, Doctor Kureha, lives there," Dalton told them.
"What?!" everyone shouted.
"Great. She's in the farthest place possible. Alright then, call her down!!" Sanji said.
"Even if we wanted to, there's no way to communicate with her," Dalton said.
"What?! And she's supposed to be a doctor?!" Sanji said angrily.
"There's no doubt she is very skilled, but that woman is very strange... she is almost 140 years old," Dalton told them.
"140 years old?! And she's still alive?!" Sanji asked.
"Well... yes... she just loves raisins," Dalton said.
"Sanji, remember we are on the Grand Line, maybe we'll run into someone almost 1,000 years old. It shouldn't impress you," Oliver told him, remembering a certain elephant.
Dalton explained that Doctor Kureha comes down whenever she wants and treats patients without being told, only to later take whatever she wants from their homes and head back to the mountain.
"But how does she get down the mountain?" Vivi asked.
"I've heard rumors saying that on full moon nights, she travels in a sleigh... several people have seen her flying down through the sky. That's why they call her a Witch," Dalton explained to them. "Furthermore, people say she always comes with a beast, one they had never seen before."
"So do we wait for her or do we climb?" Oliver asked.
"Are you crazy?! Climbing with Nami-san is madness," Sanji told him.
"Oi, Nami! Nami! Can you hear me?" Luffy said, patting her on the face.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" everyone yelled at him.
Nami began to wake up a little, where the first thing she saw was Luffy in front of her.
"Ah! She's awake. Listen, we can't see any doctor unless we climb a mountain. So we're going to climb one," Luffy said determinedly.
"Are you crazy?! You plan to put Nami through all that?!" Sanji asked him agitatedly.
"It's fine. I'll carry her," Luffy said.
"You can't do that! That will only make things worse!" Vivi said.
"Right now we have two options: wait for the Witch to come down and come here, or climb that mountain," Oliver told them, looking at the two options.
"But climbing a mountain is madness," Sanji told him.
"We have Nami sick and we don't know how long she can hold on, so we are limited on time."
They started arguing that it would be extremely dangerous for her, which Nami was listening to.
'I have to recover soon,' Nami thought with a bit of amusement about the situation. "Thanks, guys. I trust you, Captain."
"I knew you'd agree! Trust us!" Luffy said, high-fiving Nami.
"Well, we have to prepare to climb," Oliver said.
"Okay, not only our Captain, our Navigator is crazy too!" Usopp said. "And you! Why are you agreeing to this?!"
"Because it's the best option to be able to cure Nami," Oliver answered him.
"I-I suppose you're right," Usopp said.
After deciding what to do, Luffy, Oliver, and Sanji would go to the mountain while Usopp, Elegg, and Vivi would stay behind in case Kureha arrived at the village.
"If you are being serious, I don't plan to get in your way, but let me give you a piece of advice. I advise you to climb up another way; this path is full of Lapahns. They are ferocious carnivorous rabbits. If you run into a group of them, you'll be dead!" Dalton warned them.
"Rabbits? But we're in a hurry... We'll be fine, right?" Luffy asked.
"Yeah. We'll kick their asses!" Sanji said.
"If that's all they are, we'll be fine," Oliver said.
They set off towards the mountain, prepared for any danger, which Oliver and Sanji would take care of, while Luffy only had to prioritize carrying Nami.
The three began to advance through the snow, which was increasing along with the wind that was growing stronger.
"Hey, did you guys know that people in snow countries don't sleep?" Luffy asked them.
"Huh? Why?" Sanji asked.
"Because if they fall asleep, they die," Luffy explained to them.
"No one can do that, you idiot!" Sanji yelled at him.
"I don't think that's true. I can't imagine someone who can't sleep," Oliver told him.
While they were talking, the rabbits, Lapahns, tried to attack them, but they simply dodged them, avoiding any damage, which impressed the rabbits.
Luffy and Sanji started talking about the people of snow countries, which Oliver found a bit strange since they didn't seem to have any concern for the rabbits attacking them.
Pissed off, Sanji hit the rabbit, sending it flying away.
"Nami-san, hold on. We're going to take you to see a doctor," Sanji said.
They kept advancing while the snow piled up more and more.
"The snow is gradually piling up," Oliver said, finding it hard to walk.
"Damn, the layer of snow is pretty thick around here," Luffy said.
"Hey Luffy, don't run so fast. You're going to hurt Nami-san's body," Sanji said.
"You better get ready, Sanji," Oliver said.
They looked ahead, where they saw a group of giant rabbits.
The giant rabbits started attacking them, so they had to dodge them.
"These must be the Lapahns Dalton told us about!" Sanji said. "But look how many there are!"
One of the rabbits went straight for Luffy, so Oliver left it pinned to the ground with a punch.
"These bastards are tough," Oliver said, being saved by Sanji from another rabbit.
"And there are too many of them!" Sanji said.
The rabbits kept increasing in number, so Oliver and Sanji had to get to work.
"Alright, we have to take care of them to get through," Sanji said. "And Luffy, whatever happens, don't attack them."
"Why?" he asked, confused.
"Because all the impact from your attacks or the blows you take will be suffered by Nami," Sanji told him.
"Alright. I won't fight," Luffy said, dodging a swipe from one of the rabbits. "But what do I do then?!"
"Dodge! Just dodge them!" Sanji told him.
"We'll take care of these guys! You focus on dodging!" Oliver told him.
One of the rabbits attacked Oliver from behind, so he grabbed it by the face, attacking it with Electro and knocking it out of the fight.
The rest of the Lapahns lunged at them, so they had to flee through the forest.
"We have to keep running!"
Oliver and Sanji hit the ones that got close, but there were too many and the snow wouldn't allow them to attack properly.
They kept running for several minutes until they saw the Lapahns jumping up and down.
"What are they doing?" Luffy asked.
"I thought they had stopped following us, but now they are doing something up there," Sanji said.
"We have to go right now!" Oliver shouted. "They're making an avalanche!"
Everyone ran down the mountain, followed by the avalanche.
"I promise that the next time I see those rabbits, I'm going to grill them with my own two hands!" Sanji shouted, furious and almost crying.
"How are we going to escape?!" Luffy asked.
"Just run!"
They kept running until they managed to jump onto a small hill so the snow wouldn't reach them.
They breathed a sigh of relief that they were safe, but the snow continued coming down.
Oliver was going to try to tear it to pieces with Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist, but he felt dizzy for a second.
'Not now.'
Luffy and Sanji managed to avoid being caught by the snow, but Oliver was unable to do so and was swept away by the snow.
