"The hell! How the fuck did that bitch die? Wasn't she missing? Did she come back? What did we miss?" Naarah snapped, throwing her hands in the air. Mina shot her with a cold look. This girl is acting too much.
" What?" Naarah asked with a shrug.
" Nothing. You're exaggerating Naarah Williams"
" Allow baby girl. Someone has to do it and I know you wouldn't." she chuckled
Ben had reported that Amanda was dead and the news alone sent shivers down Mina's spine.
She looked at Ben dead in the eye.
"Are you sure about what you are saying?"
" How can you ask him that, Mina. Look at the pictures in front of you. Her body is being eaten by dogs. I can't do this. I wanna throw up" Naarah exclaimed
Mina rolled her eyes at her friend.
" Please do that outside not in my office." Mina snapped
She turned her gaze back to Ben.
" Where was the body found and do you have any idea who killed her?" she questioned.
Ben spoke his head;
" We have no idea who killed her but we found her near a remote area. We tried to track or look for any evidence but everything has been cleared."
Mina nodded her head.
" Keep looking, the suspect isn't far. And yeah thank you for your loyalty."
The door clicked against the wall gently. A sigh left her lips.
" So what now?" Naarah asked.
" I don't know? It seems Amanda wasn't the real problem, but someone in the dark was. We just have to be vigilant and increase our men. I can't take the risk."
Naarah agreed with her. She hugged herself when she thought about the mysterious person. This isn't child's play. It was a matter of life and death.
" We have to protect Ellie."
" I know. I can't even trust anyone around her. No offense Naarah."
" It's fine, I totally get it. Everyone is a suspect. Including you" she laughed.
Mina knitted her brows together.
" Really girl. I'm her mother!" she chucked.
Naarah hugged her tightly.
"That is why I want you both to be safe. I need both of you by my side."
" Same." Mina hugged her back.
Ellie stirred in her sleep. A whimper was heard from her side.
" I guess Sleeping Beauty is awake again."
