Cold water splashes on his face. He coughed profusely as some of the water went through his nostrils.
"That's enough," Mina exclaimed.
She walked towards the man tied to the chair. A sinister smile tugged on her lips. The man spat on her leg. His head turned to the other side, and a force smacked on his head. He spat the blood from his mouth.
" You betrayed my master and now you tie me up. Let go of me slut. And you'd better run because if I get you, you're going to regret it"
Mina raised her brows at him. She squats in front of him.
" Look who's talking. I'm not tied to a chair. You are. Now tell me, love. Why did you attack my warehouse? Who sent you? "
The man spat on her face. Mina frowned as one of her men handed her a tissue.
" Ben!"
Ben rushed toward her.
" Any information?"
Ben nodded and told her what he'd retrieved.
" Investigate if what the French mob are saying is true and if it is. Find the traitor and make him suffer. "
Ben nodded at her. Mina stared at the man for the last time before she walked out of the room. She entered the car which was open for her.
" How did it go?" Naarah asked her
Mina held Ellie and smiled at her.
" Someone betrayed us. But we are getting into it. Any news from the boys?"
Naarah nodded.
" We found something but I think you have to see it yourself. " Naarah murmured.
" What is going on? "
" We….we found a body. It was located near the accident but I'm not sure if that's my cousin. He…he looks different."
The air in the car became suffocating. Tears gather in her eyes but she refuses to let them out.
"Let's head home first then we can talk about this. "
The silence in the car was intense. Both ladies wanted to believe Aaron was dead but from the evidence Naarah had gathered, Mina didn't want to believe that. She hasn't seen the body yet but what if it's his body? Can she handle it? Will she be alright?
Ellie touched her face, drawing her away from her thoughts. She smiled at her baby. Her baby, their baby. She named her Ellie for a reason. She was the light she needed in this dark world. She was the reason she wasn't giving up. Mina caressed her baby's face. She had Aaron's features. His eyes and lips. But she somehow looks like her.
Mina hugged her baby. She whispered to herself.
" Daddy is not dead baby. We are going to find him. I promise. We are."
