She felt the floor vibrating when Amanda slammed the door. Sweat gathered on her forehead. The pain was unbearable, and a tear slipped down her face. Her legs felt numb. She tried getting up. Useless.
" C'mon, Mina, you can do this."
She gripped onto the foot stool beside her, and she dug her nails into it, trying to balance herself.
" Thump!"
The fall sent another sharp pain into her abdomen.
" W-we can do this baby. Let's try again." she let out a painful cry.
She needed Aaron in this moment.
" Where is he?"
She caresses her bump, but pauses. Something wasn't right?
Her underwear was wet.
"Why is it wet?"
She panicked. She was scared to feel her underwear. This isn't right. She chewed the inside of her mouth when the pain became intense, and with a shaken hand, she slipped her hand into her underwear. Panic surged in her. Everything felt slow.
" N-no, baby, stay in there." she stammered.
She looked at her hand, still buried in her underwear. She stared at the blood. It wasn't crimson, it was something pink. Her water broke with blood. She could feel her heart beating wildly.
" Is this normal?"
She asked no one.
She gathered the strength she had left and crawled to the door.
Every move felt like hell; she looked at herself and the trail of blood. Where she sat had blood on the floor. She gritted her teeth, the pain wasn't helping. Mina felt restless, and the movement of the baby was driving her crazy.
" Almost there, baby, mommy will keep you safe."
She let out a cry. With trembling hands, she finally grabbed the door. She tried twisting it but it wasn't opening.
" Please open, please," she begged.
" C'mon!" she screamed
She stopped breathing, she halted. Something was coming out of her.
"No, no it's not time. It's not. Don't do this to me, please. I'm begging."
Her vision blurred, not from tears. She had lost her strength.
" N-no"
Her hands slipped from the knob, she hugged her bump.
" I'm s-sorry."
A tear slipped down her face; she hit her head on the floor slowly. She forced herself not to close her eyes but, she had no strength to fight back. Her eyes fall closed.
