Onyx and his team had indeed been working hard on finding a cure for the parasite. They had gone to great lengths researching using old documents from when the ships had first crashed, noting down observations of the symptoms.
I saw a chart they made that seemed to track their perceived pattern of infections.
By their estimate, most of the city would be infected right this moment.
But I also noticed they were missing something really important... Actual living parasites to study.
I furrowed my brow. How did they expect to get any research done without them?
"It is far too dangerous to have them live," Onyx remarked when I asked him about this.
"You can hardly properly research them this way," I retorted, "I want to present my findings from the outside to your team. Can you gather them for me?"
"Of course, my love," He said, "They'll be delighted to meet you."
