Chapter 29 - Trigger

Scouting.

That's one of the ways guilds use to get promising talents to join their cause.

And today, just like in the beginner town, many guilds gather.

Sharp eyes, opened ears, and mouths that sometimes smile, frown and talk, but are spying.

These kind of players can tip the balance of the said country, and can even make them more powerful than the other. This is why, spies are sent, not just to take away promising members, but to also take measures to counter the said crisis.

Standing in front of the 8 storey building, with roads around it, like an island surrounded by water, the building stood tall with pride.

Pietro, who scouted Geann, stands proudly in front of the door.

This time, people are anxious about the development of the blacksmithing progress. If Magic Night gets this Rank 6, isn't it a bit too hard for them to fight them now?

And all of them can have at least one Unique Item, or higher, which means that they can wage guild wars left and right, and win every one of them.

As a silent war was happening outside the building, a silent war is happening in one of the rooms in the second floor.

"ROAAAR!" "KWAAAR! KWAAAAAAR!"

Two distinct animal sounds echoed through the room.

In Project: Zero, mana is everywhere, and it transformed even beasts to gain spirituality, that can sometimes that of humans. But what makes them more powerful are the saturation of their spirits on their own bodies, and the accumulation of mana on it.

And so, parts of their souls will sometimes still be ingrained om their bones and other parts of the bodies.

That's why production classes always need company when they need to forge monster carcasses.

And, Zypher has the "person" who can.

"Briar, suppress them. The room will collapse once they do."

Briar, wearing a dress, can be seen haggard as she tries to control the souls that are running amok.

He took some White Silver and added it to the mix.

Putting it to the fire, and then waiting for it to heat up before hammering takes a lot of work, as the two souls start to barge out.

But, they were too weak compared to Briar, who was one of the Dark League, plus a boss. She suppressed them, but is still stressed out because of how unruly the two souls are.

But, it didn't take too much time, as the White Silver also has suppressing properties. This makes the process smoother, and the souls come suppressed.

But, that is not what Zypher was aiming for.

These two souls are the key to start his journey on the next update.

As the metal became a lump, he then cleansed it out for impurities, hammering until the metal shine brightly.

"Say, what do we do if the weakened souls' power became the doubled?"

Briar looked at her, with confusion in her eyes, but she did not understand.

As Zypher smiled, he looked at the now glowing ore in his table. His eyes glowed as his mind raced.

He then pressed his hand above it, and used the Skill he just gained.

Trigger.

- Evolves a skill, a talent, a spell or even an ability to create a manifestation.

He smiled, and as he divided it into seven pieces, his smile did not fade.

After another four hours of forging, the Flaktite and Stagnite was added to the mix. Adding mana conduction, but also suppressing the side-effects, Zypher looked at the first set he did for himself to carry, and not throwables that is one-use.

[Prismatic Weapon Created.]

Prismatic weapons.

Outside the 7 ranks of weapons, there are three that completed the spectrum.

One, is Black Weapons. These weapons are said to be created for the players by the System. They are also called "growth" weapons, and and can grow from being common weapons, up to the Legendary Rank if the owner can complete it, either by quests or materials, or some stroke of luck.

Two, is White Weapons. Sometimes, they are interchanged with the colorless ones that represent the common weapons. White weapons are weapons created by the player, with the help of the system, but has no existing blueprints of it. It is also called the "personal creation" of the player, and has high stats, rivalling the Epic and Legendary Weapons.

And lastly, are the Prismatic ones. These are weapons that are called "Enders", as they can possibly kill one player with one hit. Adding the growth type of the Black Weapons, the personal creation of the White Weapons, Prismatic weapons sure do become Enders.

But, that's just for them.

What Zypher has right now, is not just Enders, but breakers. Of the game. Of his enemies. Of anything.

[Please pick a name for the weapons.]

As he pondered, he took the blade and inspected it.

"Seven Virtues."

[Seven Virtues (Incomplete) Series created.]

[Blueprint for the Seven Virtues acquired.]

Kindness. Humility. Chastity. Patience. Temperance. Charity. Diligence.

Each of the weapons have the Trigger that describes them, except for the first Trigger, which was casted on the ore.

{Awakening Trigger.}

- The White Tiger and Red Phoenix's power dwell in these items. Added with the suppresing power of White Silver, each of these weapons can deal more damage to Dark type enemies.

Yes, this was his goal. Because of the sudden change of Constantine's class, he now needs a weapon, literally, that deals more damage to enemies that uses darkness or evil magic.

Such irony because the one who helped him was Briar, a being that's almost a demon.

As he inspected the dagger in his hand, he smiled.

"Appraisal."

[Charity Dagger]

(1) The Seven Virtues is one weapon, divided into seven; and can connect with the others to form a new weapon. Due to the blood pact of the owner and the weapon, they can not be dropped or given to others.

[Kill 1,000 Enemies to level up.]

Grinning, Zypher then raised his hand, palm facing upward.

"Release!" He shouted.

As he said that, the seven weapons glowed, and flew in front of him. They floated for a while, and when Zypher looked at them, he smiled.

As if on cue, the weapons formed seven lights and went towards the back of his palm. The seven lights formed seven astroids, connected by a halo.

The symbol now looks like a circle with seven long diamond shapes; like a sun with seven rays.

And that is, just one weapon he finished. The others, all had been molded, but are still lacking some substance or parts that is needed for them to function well. The Charity Dagger also has some setbacks, but it is still usable.

In truth, the Seven Virtues blueprint is not his, but from Codex.

When he got the skill, a prompt appeared before him that he unlocked a special blueprint, and was overjoyed by it. And so, he decided to try it, and got it in the first try.

These was all because the blueprint the Codex gave him also incorporated his ability, his skills and his stats, giving him a margin of error of 3%, and he followed it thoroughly.

In truth, a Master Blacksmith can finish making one in a few hours, but without the Codex's guidance, they won't get the same stats as it did give to Zypher.

As he tidied up, he looked once again to the table, hammer, clamp and kiln he used for forging. The anvil, is now in dust, and all the other materials are on the verge of breaking.

He shyly scatched his head, bowed and walked outside the room. Once he got outside, a sudden explosion echoed from the highest floor of the building.

"What's that? Are we under attack?" Without further ado, Zypher ran towards the stairs. He summoned Briar, and once he did, Briar just carried him up the stairs to arrive there in time.

When he got there, a group of people was already there. He saw that many people are putting fences, and a huge hole can be seen from the room up to the corridor and the wall of the eighth floor.

There are few people who was shocked by the explosion, and saw a burnt figure come out of the room. With him were three people, and even one of them is a player with the Paladin Class.

As soon as the people went out of the room, a commotion happened as people flooded towards the room. Without asking their permission, few people took photos of them.

"MAKE WAY!" A cold voice said as a man walked, and every people he passed through trembled.

The Guild Master, walked through the sea of people, and saw the damage done in the said place.

Geann, who was weezing and coughing on the floor, looked so miserable, different from the person who went in over five hours ago.

As people were looking, Pietro hurriedly ran towards the people, and one by one, he was shooing them away.

"Geann! What happened?" As soon as he said that, the coughing Geann looked up and his eyes were green from poison.

"He failed." A stern voice said. People looked at who said that, and when their eyes traced who it is, they saw the Guild Master looking calm, not as shocked as them.

Geann, who heard this, slammed his hand on the floor, but using his energy made the poison act up, and he threw up on the floor.

"Take him to the Apothecary Guild. They can help him. If not, you can also ask for the Healer Hall." He walked away, and looked at the sight like a nuisance.

Silence permeated the air, but people still didn't go away. Instead, they looked at the fallen eagle with disgust and mocking.

As if saying that he dares to soar high, and now he was down, he is no different from them; that he is just a talented one, but the world is cruel to them, and so, it has to be cruel against him too.

As Pietro saw this, his aura flared up.

"I said, go away, didn't I?" With force, he scared the people away, enough to get them scurrying like bugs that was discovered by the owner of the house.

But then, a voice was heard from the stairs.

"Master, you have to see this!" A lady, from the desk, ran up to the Guild Master to say something? This is definitely not a small issue.

And so, people, who were flocking towards the fire earlier went to another fire that is burning nearby.

As the Guild Master, only a few things can be said to him, and as long as the management can solve it, he doesn't have to be there.

But, a little while later, an old man, the manager, heaving and panting, trekked the stairs, just to deliver the same message.

"M-Master! A genius!" He shouted, enough to make Geann, who was already limping on the ground, perk up.

"What? Guide me!" The Guild Master said as they descended the stairs.

Geann, who saw this, also decided to go, but Pietro stopped him.

"Geann, playing in Hell Mode will cost you a lot if you go there."

He said while he shook his head. Yet, the truth is, Pietro wasn't stopping him because of his injuries, but players are sometimes weak to criticisms.

And so, by stopping him there, he didn't just healed his wound, but also stopped another wound that may kill him completely.

He knows that Geann would fail, but he can get back up. And then, the Baltinoir Family will wrung him dry, using the promise to help him break through the ranks.

He won't let their little tool collapse inwards, won't he?

And the other thing is, that Pietro already planned ahead that this will happen. It was just that, Geann is too focused on his "talent" and was gullible enough to follow them.

And, a feisty and proud subordinate will one day bite the hand that fed them. So, to completely wash their hands, and be the good guys, this failure must happen

And the appearance of another genius made this farce a little funnier.
