When the war ends, everyone returns home and that include Bai Lu. He follow the Hong clan men home. He did not suffer too much.

Which Hu Li hates thus he smoke in a distance squatting on the cliff watching the sun set. Hu Li sense that something is wrong with him but she doesn't want to press him for his answer. Most of the time, they sit together to watch the sun go down and the sun raises. She use her magic to heal the little wounds that he have after the war. One night they sit together as a fox and a panther. He glowing yellow eyes look at the white fox sitting beside him. She look at him with her sparkling eyes.
"Hu Li ... i will return to the louts pond."
"Why?"
"It's time."
"Time? What happen?"
"My body is going to be destroy soon. My spirt needs a housing so i think going inside the louts will be good for me."
"What do you mean? Your body is going ..."
"I will go back to my element. A new Lord will be appointed. I will probably take a long time to return."

He doesn't have a voice however he have memories of who he is. As he floats into the dark sky, he look back. The whale seems to be smiling. Hu Li for the third time in her life cry bitterly. Her only flesh and blood is gone.
The next day, a human funeral is done for her son. His physical body did not rot and remain the same. The girl who adore him did not believe he is gone. Over the next few years, this little one will visit his grave and watch the night sky and the evening sky, Kun will fly and dive to watch over the atmosphere. Huan Xi who is a star in his eyes, is granted that she will forever with the master that she loved. She watch over whatever her master watches and remain the star in his eyes.
