(Drakken's POV)
"Let me go too!" Sylas burst into my study and gave me a serious look, "Father....!"
I raised an eyebrow, "What are you talking about?"
He walked up to the desk, "If you intend to send Riktor away to war, then let me go too!" He said with a serious expression, "Its not right that he goes and I stay!"
"Hm." I said, "No."
"No?" He said with a frown, "But-"
"I am not repeating myself." I told him, "Riktor got himself into this shitfest, he is not dragging you with him."
"You speak like I haven't made mistakes." Sylas scowled, "What about what happened with Prince Aemon?!" He exclaimed, "What about that?!"
"I don't give a fuck about Aemon." I said, "You need to understand that those two instances are completely different. You aren't going, Sylas. I am sending him with a detachment. He needs to learn how to truly experience war."
"So do I." He said
"Not yet." I told him
He slammed his hands on the table, "I was born to fight alongside him! He's my brother!" He shouted, "I belong on the battlefield with him!!"
"You belong where I tell you that you belong." I said with a serious scowl, "Riktor was violating the very law that I made to keep him, to keep you, and to keep all of my children safe! You will not go anywhere without my leave. Do you understand?"
He stepped back, "This isn't right." He said, "He and I are brothers. We can't be separated this long. I was gone for three years and I have just come back. You intend to send him away right when I come back?!"
"You're getting lippy." I told him, "He isn't your only brother. You still have Maek-"
"They aren't Riktor!!" Sylas exclaimed
"They don't have to be." I told him, "They're your brothers. You are blood, just like Riktor."
He clenched his fists, "I don't agree with this.."
"Unfortunately, it doesn't matter to me." I told him, "It is final."
"Sylas." I saw that Mya walked in the room, "Calm down, love. This is-"
"No!" He shouted, "How can you allow this, Mother? I need to be by my brother's side! I need to-"
"Shhh…." Mya patted his cheek, "Calm down. You cannot lose your temper, okay? I understand that you wish to be by your Brother's side, but you cannot."
"Why not?" Sylas frowned, "Mother…."
"Some roads are meant to be walked alone." Mya told him, "It pains me too….but Riktor brought this upon himself. He made his choices and he has to answer for it. To grow as a person, for him to truly realize that he needs to better himself."
"But…." Sylas started
She hugged him, "I am so happy that you care about him." She said softly, "But you must let him do this alone."
Sylas slowly pulled away, "This isn't right…" he said as he walked away, "This isn't right…."
As he left, Mya let out a sigh and looked at me.
"What?" I asked
"I don't agree with this one bit." She said
"Hm." I said
"But if you truly think this will make Riktor grow…." Mya said softly, "I hope it is worth it."
"He got himself into this." I told her, "You and I both know that."
Mya gave me a frown, "What if something happens to him?"
"You can't act a mother now when it matters the most." I told her, "Rikor needs to be what he is meant to be. How else is he going to lead this House? How else is going to handle all of his siblings? Right now, they're children.. but when they grow, they need someone to keep them in check."
"That's what you're for, Lord Drakken…." Mya said
"Mya." I said seriously, "We have been through this."
"I won't always be here."
**************
(Third Person POV)
Mya walked inside Riktor's chamber as he was packing several things.
"Riktor." She said softly
Riktor straightened up and looked at her, "What is it?"
She walked up to him, "Listen." She said as she had a rolled paper in her hand, "You must have a lot on your mind."
"You must be happy. You were the one that caused this." Riktor said with a cold tone
She frowned, "Riktor we all warned you." She said, "We told you to stop. And you didn't listen! These are the consequences of your own actions. I would like to say that this punishment is too harsh because you are a child but you are not acting like one."
"I didn't hurt anyone!" Riktor exclaimed, "I….I just…."
"Laws are in place for a reason." Mya said, "Even your Father has lines he won't cross. You have no idea what he has been through and why he would enforce this…."
"I don't care." He said, "What I feel for her-"
"Its not real." Mya said, "Or maybe it is. I don't know. But the point is that you can't have her. Not now. And she can't have you. It is wrong, it truly is."
He looked down, "Father is significantly older than all of you."
"He is." She said, "But we were young women when he took us, not little girls."
"It doesn't matter now." He said, "I am going to War."
Mya nodded and placed the paper in his hand, "This is for you." She said softly, "Don't show anyone. Don't tell anyone I gave it to you."
"What is it?" Riktor asked
"A way to please your Father." Mya said softly, "He has distracted himself with many things over the years but this is what he intends to do…..he spoke to me about a way to gather Chaos….or an imitation of it."
"What?" Riktor frowned, "I don't understand."
"A Bloodstone." She said, "This is a way to create one, or at least something similar, I memorized the instructions and wrote them down. Follow them and you can create one. And when you're done with your conquest and having already created one, you can come back."
"A bloodstone…." Riktor said as he looked at the paper
"Just…." Mya said softly, "Be careful."
"I will watch over you."
