(Drakken's POV)
[King's Landing]
"Before any of you all start bitching like usual." I sat down, "I had nothing to do with it and No, I will not bring him back."
Jaehaerys was giving me a serious look, "That is not the issue." He said seriously, "We have another problem. One you might actually be responsible for."
"Oh, you mean Thanatos?" I shrugged, "Yeah, I might have to rein him in. He's a bit of an asshole, if I am being honest."
I was in King's Landing, having arrived here shortly after Thanatos obtained Aemon's body as a Vessel. I haven't seen him directly but I have felt what he has been doing; spreading his power throughout the city and causing all sorts of commotion.
I came straight to the Red Keep at the behest of Saera who wanted to see Daella and see how she was doing. I brought the boys here, mostly because Sylas wanted to check in on Daenerys. The Twins begrudgingly joined but that was because Maegelle wanted them to at least be present.
Family.
What a fucking pain.
Jaehaerys was sitting down across from me on the table, he had a composed look on his old face, "My son is dead." He said, "My Heir is dead. And your.....Dragon....possessed his body and corrupted it."
"Yea. And?" I said as I shrugged
"What more do you want from us?" He asked
"I told you." I said, "I have nothing to do with Aemon's death. Is it unfortunate that he was killed by Sylas's crossbow? For you, maybe. For me, not really. I don't really care."
He blinked but said nothing.
"You gave him a proper burial." I said, "I don't care about you lot enough to disrespect or respect your remains. I steal remains on the regular, this is normal for me. If my Dragon did the same and obtained a Vessel this way, that is not my concern. Thanatos is an Aspect of the Trinity, what he does is allowed. Yes, he does things that bother me but I won't undo them. He does everything for the sake of my movement and I won't lie that his actions are beneficial."
"But...?" He asked
"I don't care much for Aemon. Not enough to tell him to leave the Vessel." I said, "Your Son is dead. Move on. Choose another Heir. And live your life as you're supposed to. Rule this stupid country and appease the foolish mortals that live in fear of your power....and mine."
"That is your statement?" He asked, "You don't care for my son? Well, I cannot say I am surprised by that. I am not. You truly are a malicious beast."
"Hm." I leaned back, "I brought the Twins as moral support for Alysanne. She may hate me, she may loathe me, but she won't lash out against her grandsons."
"You don't know that." Jaehaerys said, "I cannot believe it's been 20 years since you've been here. 20 years of your terror...You should have killed me when you met us."
"I should have." I said with a slight smirk,
"But what the fuck does that achieve?"

"What's going on here?" I asked as I stood before Maekar and Maelor
Maelor was sitting on the floor, playing his lute as he hummed. In front of him, on a chair, Princess Gael was smiling as she listened to the music. She had a warm smile on her face, swaying along to the sound of the sweet chords.
Maekar had his arms crossed, the little rascal had a serious scowl on his face, "Maelor decided to play his music again." He looked up at me, "It's getting unbearable at this point."
I looked at him, "Hm." I said, "And is that a problem?"
"It's the same song for an hour straight, father." He said, "Tell him to play something else."
"I like this song." Maelor said, "So does the Princess."
Gael was clapping, "Yes." She said, "I really do...."
I looked at Princess Gael. There was something off about her, I couldn't put my finger on it. She was the same age as Sylas, around 12 if I was right. But her demeanor and posture was a bit...strange.
It was almost as if she were still childlike. I mean, she was still a child in my eyes, but she did not act like I would expect a princess of 12 to act. It was as if her mind was a bit.....younger. She looked at Maelor and his lute how a small child would do so. I didn't know what to make of it. It's as if Maekar himself were more mature than her.
Well, my children do mature mentally far faster than anyone else so that is not a fair comparison.
"Hm...." I said as I looked at her, wearing the simple blue dress she had on, "Gael...."
Gael looked at me, "Hm?"
"Answer me this." I started, "What-"
"Drakken, get away from her!" I heard Alysanne burst into the room and rush over to Gael, grabbing her hand and pulling her up from the chair, "I won't let you take her!"
Maekar stepped back in response, a bit taken aback by her demeanor, "What's her problem?"
I crossed my arms, "I wasn't doing anything." I told Alysanne as I saw her shield Gael with her arms, "I won't hurt the girl."
Alysanne scowled at me, "I don't trust any word you say..." She said as tears formed in her eyes, "What happened to Aemon was your fault.....it's all your fault...."
"Typical of you to assume that." I said seriously, "I would say I am sorry for your loss but that would be a loss. I never liked Aemon at all."
Maelor stood up, "Grandmother." He said, "Allow me to play you a song. To soothe your-"
"I don't want to hear songs!" Alysanne cut him off, a stressed expression on her face
"Careful how you speak to my son." I said
"It is fine, Father." Maelor said, "The Queen is tired. She should go get some rest."
"Let's leave, Gael." Alysanne said, "I don't want you around them."
"But, Mother...." Gael said as the Queen walked away, pulling her alongside with her, "Mother....I...."
"Alysanne." I said seriously
She stopped and looked at me, "What do you want?"
"You're anchoring her down. Mentally." I told her, "Gael."
"What?" She asked, "What do you mean? Mind your own business, Drakken."
"If you don't let her develop properly like the rest, there will be consequences." I told her, "The girl doesn't deserve what you're doing to her."
"And what makes you think you can speak freely about how I raise my children?" She asked with a serious expression
"I am a Parent." I said
"Yes. You are." She said with a glare, "Worry about your children instead, Drakken."
"Don't worry about mine."
