Though his answer remained frustratingly vague.
"I met someone. Someone stronger than me."
"I'll simply say that I came because of him, and leave it at that."
"What kind of answer is that supposed to be?" Snow snapped.
The explanation sounded absurd enough to be a lie.
Who in their right mind would throw themselves into a war against the Demon King simply because someone told them to?
Yet Sieghart offered nothing more.
"Sieghart... would you mind if I asked a few questions regarding this person you just mentioned?" Frey asked, remaining perfectly calm.
Sieghart answered immediately.
"Ask whatever you like. Though I'll refuse to answer if I dislike the question."
He at least agreed to give Frey that much, unwilling to let the atmosphere turn openly hostile.
"I only have three questions," Frey said quietly.
"First... you claimed he was stronger than you. But before meeting him, you had never seen or heard of him before. Am I wrong?"
