Tu Hengsha and Hao Ren's conversation couldn't continue because Mrs. Liu began to cry. Liu Hong's brother returned and, seeing them, immediately tried to chase them away. When they were slow to leave, he picked up a stick and started swinging it at them.
Hao Ren protected her, retreating repeatedly from the blows until they were forced out of the Liu family home, and then the door slammed shut.
Hao Ren was furious, just a step away from kicking the door in.
In contrast to Hao Ren's agitation, Tu Hengsha appeared much calmer. "Hao Ren, just let it go."
"What did you say?" Hao Ren thought he misheard.
"I believe that in the next few days, things will take a turn without us having to put in any effort." She squinted, as if seeing someone's eyes in the wind, which seemed to say, "Leave this to me! There are some places you can't go!"
