Li Sihe's phone rang, and whatever the person on the line said made the man's expression change. He brushed off her arm and stood up, ready to leave.
Su Youxue simply couldn't believe it.
In such an atmosphere, spurred by his initiative to visit her, and yet now, in the dead of night, he was leaving.
"Mr. Li!" Su Youxue hurried forward, hugging him from behind. Her voice took on a pleading tone, filled with tension: "It's so late, will you still go? Is there something you need to take care of?"
Li Sihe merely pulled away her hands. He said, "You go to sleep, it's late."
Su Youxue's eyes reddened, a feeling akin to humiliation surged within her.
She stood rigidly in place, watching as Li Sihe left, feeling an emptiness inside.
She couldn't understand Li Sihe's feelings towards her.
If he cared, why would he never touch her?
If he didn't care, why would he always come to see her?
As the door in front closed again, the hall returned to its calm.
