Shu Wan's expression remained unchanged as she looked straight at Qi Yuan, "Your Majesty, I am guilty of misconduct. Initially, I suggested that Ning Yuan wear Mulan so as to not have another competing for favor."
"Is that so?" Qi Yuan's eyes narrowed, it was unclear whether he believed her or not.
He had no intention of continuing to read the petitions, and rested his chin on Shu Wan's shoulder, "Since you want to go to Fahua Hall, you may go tomorrow."
"Thank you, Your Majesty."
The next day, after Qi Yuan left to attend the court session, Shu Wan went straight to Fahua Hall.
She had a feeling that the mages in Fahua Hall could tell her the truth she sought.
The Fahua Hall that Shu Wan was familiar with was different; this one did not enshrine the many gods and buddhas, but rather some inexplicably strange and eerie idols.
