"Now let's talk about those demon beasts on the outskirts!" Glen changed the subject without batting an eye and kept moving forward.
She understood her own strengths and naturally wouldn't fuss over these things.
"You mean those following us are demon beasts? Is there something special about them?" Lucas quickly asked.
"They're probably controlled by an advanced professional from Delisha City. They can see our situation through the beasts' eyes," Glen explained. "If nothing unexpected happens, every move we make is under their surveillance. Maybe they've sent someone to track us, maybe they just want to learn more about the human territory behind you, so they can settle scores in the future."
Glen's words lined up with Lucas's earlier guesses. He nodded and said, "I figured as much, but didn't expect it'd be demon beasts tracking us. If it's just beasts, the problem's much simpler—after all, their intelligence is pretty limited."
