Locke of Barnes Village and his group had packed up at daybreak, gathered at the territory gates with their teammates' families, did a headcount, and then set off impatiently.
There were several groups like his in Barnes Village.
At first, the soldiers guarding the gates didn't think much of the first group. After all, it was normal for merchant teams to have a lot of people. Maybe some brought elders, women, and children along, planning to visit another territory—nothing unusual about that.
But as the second, third, and even more groups showed up, all bringing a lot of ordinary people, they finally realized something was wrong.
