Lin Fu was startled, not because a sphere had scared her but afraid someone had silently tampered with her things. What if the person who placed the object there wanted her dead? Wouldn't that put her life in jeopardy?

The blue Little Round Ball looked down at her with disdain.
"Say that again." Lin Fu pretended to be fierce, raising her fist to strike the Little Round Ball, which scared it into immediately flying up and darting around the room in an attempt to evade her, turning the already small room into chaos.
"You can't catch me, you can't catch me..." it taunted gleefully as it flew.
Lin Fu was so angry her face turned green.
