As for the Great Yang meridian, it was always in the head, somewhere in the brain. There was no exception. But to open it was a problem, as one little mistake or slip of concentration will first of all cause failure to open it again, brain damage, paralysis and maybe even death. 3/4 of those who have tried are vegetables by now and the remaining we're either paralyzed or dead. No one has succeeded in the last 6 years. Confident, Damien wasn't scared at all. He knew he would succeed. It was inevitable. As for the benefits of opening the Great Yang meridian, it would also adapt the Yang property in all attacks and defenses, increasing your attacking and defensive powers against demonic powers. The question was, what would happen if both were open. He would soon find out and then use it to refine his body and become unstoppable.
Sadly, he couldn't continue cultivating, since his sister had already gotten ready while he was meditating and, they were are waiting for him to finish before they began the terrifying second day of the apocalypse. It was 7:20am in the morning as they carefully exited through the front door of the temporary house. Damien, obviously being first and watching out for possible threats and mutated creatures.
They ran through the lawn, jumped the fence and they were back on the road. Unfortunately, they were greeted by their former neighbors. More like undead neighbors, but hey this still live in the same neighborhood. About 16 zombies approached the family of four from both sides of the road and they probably where not here to say, "Hey neighbor!".
So Oscar quickly took down three of them with his accurate stats to the head, unleashing three arrows at once. Alice ran forward with her rolling pin to bash their heads in. While Damian just stood there with his mother behind him thinking, 'I wish I had a sheath or something. I would have been like all those characters in that Demon Slayer anime Alice watches.' It was not the type of thought that was supposed to go through a normal person's head in a situation where they were surrounded by zombies. Unsurprisingly, Damien here wasn't normal by any means. The fact is that, even though his head was filled with all sorts of random thoughts he was still incredibly focused. And that fact was proven when his qi that he had spread out some inches beyond his body sensed tremors in the ground, which could only be produced when something was moving through the Earth. So, grabbing his mother by the waist, he jumped backwards and as expected the concrete road burst open revealing three giant worms. Although their width barely reached his knees and their full length was not visible, they still appeared extremely dangerous with their circular maw that could even tear through concrete, with several rows of sharp teeth. It had no visible eyes and it's carapace shone with slime that most likely helped with its mobility through the ground. It probably evolved from an earthworm to what it was now today. It didn't see to pose that much of a threat to him but others, it was dangerous.
He guessed that since he was targeted, the others were too. So he warned them, "Be careful, there are worms beneath you!" They had already seen it but it was already too late. The ground had already burst open beneath Oscar's and Alice's feet. Alice mysteriously slipped before the ground burst open, but Oscar was not so lucky as the shock from the burst in the ground made him to stumble to the ground since he had already instinctively stepped back. And, a mutated earthworm had already beaten into his leg with it it's sharp circular maw, shredding his leg skin,"Arghh get it off me!" he left out a shout as he groaned in pain. He brought out a knife and stabbed it's head while Damien brought out a knife of his own reinforced with qi and threw it towards the mutated earthworm crawling towards his sister piercing its head. But, it didn't go in as deeply as he expected it to. As for the ones in front of him, he slashed at them effortlessly. Shockingly, the cut that was supposed to easily cut them into two, did not. It seemed to be deflected by the slime on it's carapace. With it allowing a large cut to be dealt to it, with only half its body being caught into. It still died but, this was not the type of injury Damien was aiming for. So, trying again, this time with some qi imbuded into his sword, he beheaded the remaining two worms.
'Only five caused this much damage?' He thought in horror as he looked at the surrounding area and at the damage caused by the worms with Alice still on the floor and Oscar trying to remove the Dead worm's teeth from his flesh while minimizing the pain. Which wasn't going well as he occasionally groaned.
[ Congratulations!! You have killed a mutated earthworm x3 乁| ・ 〰 ・ |ㄏ. ]

Surprisingly, he was now a level 9 and he wasn't really keeping track of his level. But, he was sure there was more change waiting for him in level 10. The two level 10 creatures that he fought and defeated; the Acid Spitting Fatso and the Licker had the title 'Half Step First Order' next to their names. Which means, they were a have step away from a whole new realm of strength. And, when he reached the next level, he would enter that half step. He was squeezing the hilt of his sword excitedly in anticipation of what it might be. But he focused on extracting the Soul Stones from the creatures.
At this point, his father, Oscar just finished removing the teeth of the dead worm from his leg.
A/N:- At this point, I don't even know what to say about myself ಠ∀ಠ. I actually forgot I was updating a book. It won't happen again. This is the last time I'm making such an excuse, so don't go away my lovely readers(´;ω;`).
