(Akio's POV)
I know I had said to keep it that way, but it's Sunday afternoon, and I've been thinking about her nonstop.
I have been restless. Scared.
Kiyomi hadn't answered any of my texts.
I was so worried.
I had thought that she might do something stupid. Like commit suicide, or jump down a building.
But maybe I was overthinking it.
I wouldn't stop panting. My heart wouldn't stop racing in fear. My mind wouldn't shut off. And my body lived in constant fear, knowing the one I truly liked could end her life for any stupid reason cause she's too emotional.
I couldn't take it anymore.
I decided to send a message to Hinata.
"Akio: Did Kiyomi reply to you?"
Then I decided to send it to Kiyomi too. Maybe just to show that I care and was worried as hell, which I was. So I sent it to her.
Hinata replied after some time.
"Hinata: No".
My heart sank.
She hadn't spoken to anyone? That's so not Kiyomi.
This is bad. Like really, really bad.
I just hope—
Wait! Ayumi is probably at home, so there wouldn't be no way Kiyomi would do anything to hurt herself. Not on Ayumi's watch.
I decided to have a little hope since her sister was at home with her. And if she was at home with Kiyomi, she might have made her feel better.
I had wanted to send Kiyomi another message to see if she was doing alright. But if she probably was, she would have replied to my former texts. But she didn't. Which meant she's still not fine.
God! — I hate Minato.
This is all his fault.
If he hadn't opened his filthy mouth, none of this would've happened. Kiyomi would have been just fine. And I wouldn't have to live in constant fear and worry about Kiyomi's well-being.
But he just had to tell her how he felt.
I'm so goddamn happy that Kiyomi didn't reciprocate his feelings, which means I still have a chance with her.
Maybe, just maybe, we still have a chance.
I had held onto the hope that Ayumi was around and Kiyomi would only do despicable things in her absence. But it's evening already, and she hadn't replied to any of my messages.
I'm not even sure she had replied to Hinata's messages. And even if she had, Hinata would've at least told me since I asked her about it at noon. But there's no message from either Hinata or Kiyomi.
I know I had said I would keep it that way, but a part of me was urging me to do something. To step in.
And neither Hinata nor Kiyomi had reached out to me. I was becoming really worried, and maybe a bit desperate.
That's when I had the idea to pull a few strings behind the scene/curtain.
This was all Minato's fault, so he's going to have to pay for it very badly. I trust that Kiyomi would also fully support this, after all the pain he put her through. He deserves a little bit of shame and embarrassment for it.
So I picked up my phone and brought Kiyomi's threat into action. Into reality.
I texted Sakura the deets of what happened between Minato and Kiyomi at the aquarium, hoping it would be enough to tarnish Minato's reputation a little.
After I did that, I felt a bit at rest. Knowing that Minato got what he truly deserved. Now I just hoped that Kiyomi was alright. At least, I wouldn't have to go to bed feeling guilty for not taking any action against Minato for hurting Kiyomi.
