Master Baron Bones was in disbelief. Rafael's first soul-type spell was just a basic spell, but it was quite rare and rarely used by other Necromancers.
It was a spell that allowed one to exorcise spirits without harming the victim. And Rafael wasn't even a Necromancer, so why had he wasted his chance to learn a more useful soul-type spell to learn something like this?
But what came next shocked him even more. Rafael not only used another soul-type spell, transforming the powerful spirit into a soul stone, but then swallowed it!
Leaving aside the side effects of such an act, Baron Bones sensed his subordinate's death and couldn't understand how such a powerful soul could be transformed into a soul stone and be killed so quickly after simply ingesting it…
But then a voice came through a telepathic spell from his fellow organization member, Blood Armor:
"Baron Bones, Rafael possesses the body affinity, and likely possesses an innate Regeneration spell. We'll need to severely injure his body if we want to weaken him to the point of incapacitating him. Also, keep a firm grip on the puppets until he uses Taunt again…"
"Damn…"

After flying and gaining altitude in the sky, Rafael began attacking Baron Bones, Greed, Golden, and the Senior Lich. Completely ignoring those on the ground who couldn't fly, though they also frequently attempted to injure him with various spells like bone spears, curses, and diseases…
Unlike Baron Bones's preconception, devouring the Vengeful Soul was a trick that used not just two basic soul-type spells, but nearly five simultaneous spells using Primordial Magic.
Although he would later have to deal with the effects of devouring such a powerful soul, he did so to impact enemy morale. At the same time, he was also getting rid of one of the most troublesome enemies on this battlefield…
If he were constantly possessed and injured as he was, his seemingly powerful Regeneration would soon reach the limits of what he could do daily.
As he used Stoneskin for the second time, he began to worry about the last remaining use of this spell bound to his earth totem. Rafael managed to confirm that the powerful Master Blood Armor hadn't taken flight, and was merely attacking him from the ground with spears emerging from its magic bags, and launching a few poisonous spikes from the tentacles of its living armor...
Soon, the number of spells launched against him was more than he could withstand...
His second Stone Skin was shattered, and his powerful body began to be battered by the various basic spells coming from everyone... Greed with wind and earth spells, Golden's earth and water spells, the Senior Lich's with ice and soul spells, Zima's poisonous spells, and sometimes powerful curses came from Baron Bones, pushing his Resistance to Curses to its limit.
Rafael used his powerful Gravity Control to subtly control the weapons thrown by enemies from the ground, causing them to miss his body. Finally, realizing the limits of his regeneration, he activated his final Stone Skin.
But the basic defensive spell barely lasted a minute against the barrage of his enemies' spells when it shattered after being hit by several small poison arrows from Zima. All that remained of his body were shreds of his magic cloak and leather protections.
At that moment, as Rafael was pondering how he could buy more time, the system finally gave him a message that changed the tide of the battlefield:
[Advanced spells can be used again!]
With a smile, Rafael activated the Haste spell on his boots again, increasing his flying speed. He then flew to the highest point of the barrier, dodging many spells in the process, and finally activated the spell that would initiate his counterattack:
"Advanced Spell: Sandstorm!"
With Rafael at the highest point of the barrier, a massive sandstorm spread within the barrier, obstructing everyone's vision except the spellcaster.
Greed reacted quickly and was about to cast a powerful wind spell to dispel the storm when a voice rang in his ears, interrupting the advanced spell and sending him into a rage again:
"YOU ARE PATHETIC!"
Golden, Zima, and the apprentices who had already escaped from the Stone Coffin went berserk again.
But this time, Rafael didn't attack them, much less go to the barrier. His target shifted to whoever could save them from the taunt effect.
Using Spatial Control, he teleported to Baron Bones's back and hugged him tightly, preventing him from escaping. He smiled, saying:
"This will be painful for me, but it will be even more painful for you…"
Baron Bones struggled desperately, trying to free himself from Rafael's grip, which began to crack his fragile bones. He became even more terrified when he saw his surroundings becoming intensely illuminated with a pure white light that made his eyes water and his soul ache. Rafael's necklace glowed, and then the light concentrated into a powerful beam coming from the sky, like a sort of celestial judgment:
"Advanced Spell: Eternal Light!"
A powerful beam of light from the sky struck Rafael and Baron Bones in the sky. The powerful beam spread out to a distance of almost 100 meters, clearing the area of the sandstorm, and striking and purifying the Senior Lich not far away in the sky, the Undead Knight, and the armored Giant on the ground.
As the light passed, Blood Armor could see that the Knight and his horse had disappeared; the giant lay on the ground, his body completely charred and unmoving. The body of the Lich closest to them in the sky had vanished, leaving only a faint, translucent soul.
In the sky, the main target of this spell was finally revealed.
Rafael released the Necromancer's body, letting it fall from the sky.
Baron Bones's face and hands were charred black, and smoke billowed from within his clothing. It seemed the rest of his body, protected by his magical cloak, cape, and boots, was still intact.
Parts of Rafael's hair, face, chest, and arms were burned, revealing wrinkled red skin that still smoked. Even what remained of his cloak after the many attacks he had suffered was finally destroyed and burned.
All that remained of his body were reinforced leather pants that were torn in many places, the Chief Exorcist's collar around his neck, and the two rings on his hands.
Even though he was weak, he knew this wasn't over, and without giving anyone time to react, he gripped his sword tightly and teleported in front of the still-crazed Master Greed, decapitating him.
The Master's life energy flowed into the jewel on his forehead, but it didn't reach 90%, indicating that the man was merely an ordinary Master of a low-level race, not even a Shadowmancer.
Rafael's eyes then turned to the crazed Bloodmage Zima...
