Ye Qiu's advice to Ye Qing not only failed, but instead brought her and Cao Wentao closer. Originally, she took three days off for this visit, but now it's extended to seven days. The two go out daily either for sightseeing or meals, in short, their relationship is advancing rapidly.
By the time she left, the two had upgraded to being a couple. Ye Qing was extremely reluctant to leave; she even considered resigning to move here.
"Isn't your brother going to personally see you off?" Cao Wentao asked at their separation.
"He's busy with work and could only drop me at the airport, so I declined," Ye Qing replied.
"Makes sense," Cao Wentao nodded, without a trace of doubt, then gently kissed her forehead, "I really hate to see you go. Safe travels, I'll visit your parents once I have some time."
Ye Qing's cheeks turned red, and she shyly nodded, just like a young girl experiencing her first crush at seventeen or eighteen.
