"Look at those on TV with mother-in-law and daughter-in-law conflicts, who isn't worried and looks down and out all day long? When that happens, how can I still focus on work? I'd have to stick around you guys every day!"
"That makes some sense." Granny Liu felt there was some truth in that, mainly because she absolutely couldn't let herself be the reason for affecting her son. But throughout history, hasn't it always been the daughter-in-law serving the mother-in-law? How come it's the mother-in-law accommodating the daughter-in-law when it comes to her?
