Upon hearing Luo Ye call Ye Xuan over, a hint of embarrassment flashed in Bai Yan's eyes: "Luo Ye, at this point, is there any sense in asking questions that are pointless? Or rather, even if it's as I said, would Ye Xuan dare to admit it?"
"You've known him not just for a day. Do you think someone with his personality would lie?" As they spoke, Ye Xuan had already approached, Luo Ye smiled at him, "A matter to verify with you—as for the question, if back then you had first met Major Bai, who would be your fiancée today?"
"Ridiculous!" Ye Xuan glared at Luo Ye, "Is this even a question? I met her before I knew Ye'er anyway." Saying this, he looked at Bai Yan, "Major Bai, is your memory that poor?"
Bai Yan's face turned beet red instantly; she had just realized that indeed, if counted from the first meeting time with Ye Xuan, she knew Ye Xuan before Luo Ye did.
"I didn't mean anything by it, I was just discussing the facts. It's getting late, I'm heading back."
