To fulfill Grandpa's dream sooner and provide him a comfortable life, the mentor studied relentlessly and fervently worked on his projects, all in hopes to ultimately stay on campus and bring Grandpa to live in the faculty family housing.
Before obtaining his Ph.D., school leadership informed the mentor that he qualified to stay on campus. Overjoyed, he rushed home, only to find that Grandpa, unlike usual, did not come out to greet him.
Once inside, he found Grandpa lying on his side in bed, facing away, with vomit beside the pillow. Trembling, he touched him and realized Grandpa's body had already stiffened.
The doctor's final verdict was that Grandpa had been dead for over twenty hours, with the time of death being around eight o'clock the previous evening, caused by a heart attack.
