An hour after Kael left.
Milan was feeding her daughter on the sofa while her father prepared breakfast in the kitchen.
The sound of sucking echoed softly as Milan breastfed her baby.
"Ouch," Milan winced as her daughter bit and tugged on her breast. "Hey, what are you doing?"
Her baby responded by pulling harder, causing even more pain. This was the first time her daughter had done something like this, and Milan didn't know how to react at first. As the pain intensified, she instinctively pulled back, creating a soft popping sound between her and the baby.
"Ouch!" Milan yelped in pain.
"What happened?" Bach called from the kitchen.
"Nothing!" Milan responded quickly, then narrowed her eyes at her baby, who laughed in return. Hearing that laughter, the pain in her breast mysteriously vanished, and all the burdens on her shoulders seemed to melt away.
