Chapter 1434: Poison on the Lid
Uncle Leng examined the lid, suddenly becoming interested in the animals painted on it.
On the inside of the lid, the eyes of the little chicken were particularly vivid.
He instructed the testing personnel, "Scrape a bit of powder from the eyes and test it."
The testing personnel followed the command, picked up the knife, and just started scraping, when Uncle Leng suddenly stopped them: "No, clean the bowl thoroughly, then pour half a cup of milk into it, cover it, and heat it."
The testing personnel found it strange; can't detect poison, but heating will perhaps show poison?
Nonetheless, they complied, first rinsing the bowl, added half a cup of milk, and used an alcohol lamp to heat it from beneath.
When the water boiled, Uncle Leng ordered, "Take the lamp away, let the bowl cool while covered, then test the milk inside."
The testing personnel followed the instructions to the letter.
