Danilo
I was alone and frustrated.
That was all I had been for days. Alone, frustrated and pacing a hole into the floor.
Benecio and Daniel had to fly back to Texas. Their flight was on the morning of the 22nd. They had hugged me at the hotel lobby, both in their big winter coats, Benecio with his headphones around his neck, Daniel holding two coffees.
"Don't do anything stupid, man," Daniel had said, squeezing my shoulder.
"Call us when you hear from him," Benecio had added.
And then they left me alone in Berlin.
