Dove
Bucky swept me up whilst perfectly taking the iced lattes from my hands with his one hand whilst his free arm held me up so that I was hugging his torso like a koala bear. The smile on his face the moment the doors opened had my heart skipping a beat.
I, Dove, got that reaction from Bucky without having to do a single thing. I wasn't sure if he had already gotten lunch but I thought in advance just to be safe. I had to go back to the art campus in about two hours which was enough time.
Part of me was a bit relieved that he had asked me to come for lunch. Classes were different. Everyone was looking at me with such curiosity and gaze that it got uncomfortable. The braces weren't helping either because I could barely open my mouth without my jaw aching.
I was lucky that I only had to put them in for a year otherwise I would be done for. Some students from the younger years would ask me for a picture which baffled me. Did they realize that nothing about me had changed?
