I gently ran my fingers through Dove's hair and played with the curls on his head as he slowly drifted back to sleep. His hand tightly held mine partly not wanting me to go even though I knew he wouldn't say it.
He was drained. I knew he was. We had been spending late hours in the office and arriving even earlier. With training, work, university, and now driving lessons with still coming home to pack for the move I was confident Dove was running on fumes today.
Once he was fed and curled up next to me I knew he wasn't going to last through the movie. His face was already puffy with sleep and his eyes red. I didn't believe I even paid attention to the movie myself. My eyes just glued on Dove's face as he slept. He was so devastatingly beautiful that I couldn't look away.
I kept on asking myself how I was so lucky to have found him.
