"What do you mean you figured out it was him?" I gaped as I tightly held the empty glass against my chest. "Why didn't you tell me Zahi? I could have let it die out long ago!"
"That's the point," he sighed then leaned back against the couch. "I knew if I told you you'd sabotage this for yourself, Dove. Not everyone who has money is going to leave you behind. You have to understand that. One experience doesn't make up the whole entire world. There's people out there you can trust."
I pressed my lips together and shook my head as I felt my heart race in my chest. "How would you know?"
"Because it's true," he took the glass out of my hand then placed it on the coffee table. He held my hand between both of his and reassuringly squeezed it. "Before you knew that Bucky was in fact Danilo. Did you think he was a bad person?"
"Yes," I proudly turned my chin away from him then looked up to the ceiling.
