Su Yan's eyes locked on the Black Dragon.
From the moment he had crossed into this world, he knew there was no escaping this fight. On Sirius Island, their first clash had ended in his defeat. He hadn't been strong enough then—he could admit that.
But now? Things were different. He had grown, surpassed the limits of his former self. Whether victory or defeat awaited, this time the outcome would not be so certain.

Dark clouds swirled across the heavens, thunder splitting the sky. Bolts of lightning struck Su Yan's body as his form began to change.
Scales crept across his skin, dragon horns erupted from his forehead, and his eyes slit into vertical pupils that gleamed with an inhuman coldness.
His limbs stretched and warped into razor claws, wind and storm spiraling around him as his body expanded.
With a single leap, Su Yan soared upward, his body transforming into a colossal azure dragon. Lightning wreathed his form, and fire clouds coiled along his claws.
The Blue Dragon faced the Black.
The sight froze every soldier of Alvarez in place. Even Invel, usually so composed, clenched his fists tightly. These were no longer battles between men and armies.
This was a clash between monsters that stood at the pinnacle of the world.
Zeref's calm voice broke the silence.
"Invel, do not falter. What you see are the kings of two eras—the only beings who stand above all else."
The Dragon King Festival, the day Acnologia had been born as the sole king among dragons, had ended with the sacrifice of an entire race. A new Dragon King was never supposed to exist. Yet here, against all fate, Su Yan had risen.
Two kings. One continent. And there was room for only one.
Su Yan's massive jaws opened, flames swirling inside.
Acnologia's chest heaved, darkness gathering at his throat.
"Heat Breath!!!"
"Roar of the Black Dragon!!!"
Two beams of annihilation collided, white light bursting like a newborn sun.
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM—!!!
The shockwave tore across the battlefield, obliterating everything in its path. Mountains cracked, forests burned, and the unlucky Alvarez troops too slow to flee were simply erased from existence.
Over a hundred thousand soldiers were rendered incapable of fighting—many vaporized instantly.
"Damn it!!" Invel's face twisted in fury. Neither of them care if our empire is caught in their crossfire…
Zeref, however, only smirked.
"Do not resist. Let the army march on Fairy Tail. Secure the Heart of the Fairy before these two settle their duel. Whoever survives will not escape unscathed."
Even he, with infinite magic, would not dare face Acnologia at his peak. But with Su Yan drawing the dragon into battle… an opportunity had been born.
If both kings tore each other apart, then all that remained was for Zeref to deliver the final blow.
"Let's move," he ordered softly.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
High above, the Blue Dragon and the Black clashed again, their roars shaking the heavens.
The Dragon King battle had begun.
