The elemental golem slowly rotated, its cracked obsidian-like body catching the dim light of the arena below as it turned to face Dila. Its robotic voice, strained and faint, reached her ears.
"Master… it's over—"
Before it could finish, Albedo reappeared in an instant, his piercing blue eyes fixed, body hovering with unyielding force. His right arm jabbed straight through the golem's back piercing to the chest, sending a shudder through its frame. A guttural "Ohhhhh" escaped the golem as its obsidian surface cracked further, revealing a glowing core beneath, pulsing like a twisted heartbeat. Root-like veins of energy coursed around the core, writhing in response to the attack.
The golem's head spun a full 360 degrees in a desperate, futile attempt to resist.
"I thought… your finished …"
But even its defiance was fleeting. Its eyes dimmed, the once-glowing blue fading to a lifeless gray. The mechanical whirring slowed, then stilled, leaving the massive form suspended, powerless.
