As they made their way to the junction, they brainstormed ideas but nothing came up. Until Theo and Ace got an idea at the same time and turned their heads towards Vault who was still trying his best to drive.
"W-what?? W-Why are you guys looking at me?!"
Meanwhile..
Aqua walked on the roads without worry as the danger were lured out. Abu quietly trailed behind him.
The rain was heavy and loud, like it had no intentions of stopping.
"Looks like the rain will be the end of me" Aqua jokes
But for some reason Aqua thought that it was waiting for something. He narrowed his eyes for a brief moment before dismissing the thought. Abu was still behind him observing.
Aqua walked to his house smiling. But the house was broken and destroyed.
"no.."
His face changed into a mix of fear and despair as he climbed onto the rubble and searched for his parents under the bricks.
"No.. No no no NO! Please... Please don't tell me... Sob sob sniff"
His face teared more as he continues to search, until he notices something in the corner of his eyes.
"W-what's that...?" He thinks
He moves in closer to check and sees an arm without a body. He screams his heart out. Slowly, the screams turn into cries as he slowly takes the arm and gently hugs while crying his heart out.
The rain muffled the cries as much as it could. And then Aqua thought that maybe thats why he felt like the was waiting for something.
Aqua felt the rain on his back being carried by the cold wind, but for a brief moment he felt two hands touching his shoulders. It was warm and gently like a feather, yet heavy.
He looked up at the black and stormy sky and wondered.
"Maybe the rain was there for them... Like.. They were waiting for me to come home to welcome me in..."
Abu stood there with a unnerving presence around him. His eyes calm. Aqua stood up, wiped his tears and ordered Abu to follow him with tried eyes peaking out from his hair.
Abu nodded. His eyes unclear and foggy.
