After a moment of hesitation, I opened the chat box with Yana. I wondered if I should just block her or delete the messages. But even if I did, I knew she'd just find a way to ask about it again when we met—probably in another roundabout way. The thought was terrifying.
As I sat there lost in my tangled thoughts, Xavier approached with a steaming bowl of noodles with a high rim and a plate of sliced watermelons. The aroma made my stomach ache with hunger.
"By the way, did those three idiots— I mean, my roommates—say anything strange when they left?" I simply asked him.
"Other than smiling weirdly at me and leaving a note, they only said that I should be careful with you since it's your first time," he explained as he gently placed the bowl of noodles in front of me.
'Those idiots!' My ears turned hot with embarrassment.
"So, is it really your first time?" he asked, eyeing me with a calm, curious expression.
My face flushed even deeper. "W-What are you talking about?!"
