Chapter 7 - chapter 7

S.H.I.E.L.D's Observations

S.H.I.E.L.D analysts were working overtime. Ever since the mysterious planet had appeared near Mars, it had become a top priority for Nick Fury. Though they had managed to capture some blurry images of the planet, its true nature remained elusive. Fury suspected it was more than just a rogue celestial body.

Jack's New Identity

Back on his planet, Jack had finalized preparations for his new life on Earth. He had instructed his AI—named Nam—to create a fully fleshed-out identity for him: Jack Reaves, a wealthy teenager from England. The narrative was simple yet effective—his parents had tragically died, leaving him with a sizable inheritance. To start fresh, he had transferred to Midtown High in Queens, New York.

"Nam, how's the identity coming along?" Jack asked.

"Complete," Nam responded, her voice calm yet efficient. "You now have bank accounts, social security numbers, academic records, and all the necessary documentation for your new identity. You've also been enrolled at Midtown High as a transfer student."

"Good. Next, acquire 20% of Stark Industries shares," Jack instructed.

Nam paused briefly as she executed the transaction. "Shares acquired. Market conditions are favorable, as many investors are selling off Stark Industries stocks following Tony Stark's announcement. Your new holdings make you one of the largest shareholders."

"Perfect," Jack said, smirking. "Now, purchase a villa in New York City and a car—a black Audi R8."

"Done," Nam confirmed. "The villa is in a secure location outside the city, and the Audi R8 has been customized to your specifications."

Arrival on Earth

Dressed in his sleek, customized Kryptonian armor, Jack stood in the hangar of his mechanized planet. The armor was a marvel—lightweight yet incredibly durable, designed for both combat and stealth. Its dark metallic sheen reflected a faint blue hue under the hangar lights, and the helmet gave him an imposing yet enigmatic presence.

"Nam, keep the planet cloaked and on standby," Jack said as he stepped toward the exit bay.

"Understood," Nam replied. "Good luck, Jack."

With a final nod, Jack activated his armor's propulsion system, shooting out of the planet and into the vastness of space. As he entered Earth's atmosphere, he adjusted his trajectory toward New York, ensuring his approach would be undetected by conventional means. However, S.H.I.E.L.D was not so easily fooled.

"Sir, we've detected an unidentified object entering Earth's atmosphere," a S.H.I.E.L.D analyst informed Fury.

"Track it," Fury ordered.

"Sir, the unidentified entity disappeared as it entered U.S. airspace," Agent Maria Hill reported, standing beside Fury in the S.H.I.E.L.D command center.

Fury frowned. "Disappeared? How does something just vanish like that?"

"It's like it cloaked itself. There's no trace—no heat signature, no radiation. Nothing."

Fury's gaze lingered on the holographic display of Earth. "Keep looking. Whatever—or whoever—that was, I want to know everything about it."

Fury's jaw tightened. "This isn't over. Whatever this is, it's planning something."

Settling into the Villa

Jack landed just outside his newly purchased villa, nestled in a secluded area on the outskirts of New York City. The villa was luxurious yet understated, surrounded by lush greenery and equipped with state-of-the-art amenities.

Removing his helmet, Jack stepped inside, taking in the space. It was modern, spacious, and elegant—a perfect base of operations. But it needed more.

"Nam, begin modifying the villa's defenses," Jack ordered.

"Of course," Nam replied. "I'll install energy shields, advanced surveillance systems, automated turrets, and a cloaking device. The modifications will be discreet and undetectable."

Jack nodded. "Make sure the AI systems are integrated seamlessly. I don't want anyone—even S.H.I.E.L.D—finding out."

As the villa underwent its transformation, Jack relaxed in the sleek living room, his armor stored in a concealed chamber. He sipped on a drink, staring out at the city skyline from the expansive windows.

"I wonder how long it'll take before they realize I'm here," he mused.

For now, he had the perfect cover. As Jack Reaves, he was just another wealthy teenager trying to live a normal life. But behind the scenes, he was building something far greater—something that would allow him to navigate Earth's complexities while keeping his true nature hidden.

And tomorrow, his journey at Midtown High would begin.
