The truth behind the incident at the Reien was thoroughly investigated. Touko delivered the investigation report to Misaya Ouji's aunt, who, as expected, was furious. That night, she called Misaya Ouji back to the family home for questioning.
However, it's said that Misaya Ouji didn't receive any reprimand—in fact, her aunt had always thought highly of her niece, perhaps even caring more about her school life than Misaya Ouji's parents did.
In short, everyone responsible for the incident suffered the crushing pressure of the Misaya Conglomerate, the financial giant that rules Mifune City. In a sense, they were socially killed. Even Misaya Ouji herself was shocked at her aunt's swift and decisive methods.
On the other hand, after signing a self-binding contract with Aoko, Satsuki Kurokiri resigned from Ryeien and was taken by Aoko into the Ark World, where he met with those busy managing the fairies of New Camelot.
To Aoko, the brain-rewriting tricks modern fairies play on humans were nothing special. In the blink of an eye, she healed Satsuki, who, poor thing, hadn't grown at all since age ten. For the first time, he truly became self-aware.
But this sudden self-awareness was a huge shock to Satsuki. All the information he'd gathered via memory collection and Unified Language now needed time to be re-recognized. So, Satsuki found a place to live in Camelot's ring city within the Ark World.
The fairies in Camelot's ring city had a good impression that Satsuki's Unified Language was very helpful, and because of the contract's restrictions, he was unable to use his abilities to harm anyone on Aoko's side, directly or indirectly.
Though not many, there were still some humans living in the Ark World. These people had never received proper education, and Satsuki, a certified teacher, was the perfect candidate.
So, under the coordination of Aoko and the others, the first school in the Ark World was established in a central city building, with Satsuki as its sole teacher.
Satsuki was happy to accept the job. In his own words: "Teaching others is a process of reaffirming oneself." Aoko was not the type of boss to exploit employees, so she paid Satsuki the same salary he used to get at the Reien.
Moreover, in addition to humans, many fairies came to his classes. Satsuki felt no PTSD around these kind fairies, and as a human-shaped database, he was perfect for fairies who needed human mental patterns.
"I have a request," said a now more human Satsuki to Aoko after his treatment. "Could I have an assistant?"
"No problem. Who do you have in mind?" Aoko asked curiously.
"Misaya Ouji," Satsuki replied frankly. "She was a very capable student council president, and if possible, I'd like her to help me during the winter break."
"Also, as a fairy tamer, I think she'll make great progress here," Satsuki added.
"I'll ask for you. Ultimately, it's up to her," Aoko agreed, then asked Touko to contact Misaya Ouji's aunt.
It's said that upon hearing about the opportunity, Misaya Asuka immediately sent her niece over, not even hesitating. Perhaps she'd always wanted to connect with Touko in this area, and the talented Misaya Ouji was the best choice.
As for Misaya Ouji, she was hit with two major shocks upon arriving in the Ark World.
The first shock was discovering that a true fairyland independent of the real world existed. The second was hearing Satsuki's confession to her.
"I'm sorry, Miss Misaya," Satsuki said sincerely, expressing his apology with genuine emotion. "I hope for a chance to make up for the harm I caused you."
"It's too late for apologies, Sensei," Misaya replied with a bitter smile. "But I'll accept your invitation. This time, I want to see the real you."
And so, Misaya—who otherwise would have had little to do with the world of magi—came to the fairyland dreamt of by magi, starting her summer job as a teaching assistant.
Aoko provided her with an internship certificate, so even if Misaya wanted to apply to university later, a recommendation from the Aozaki Group would carry weight—even though she was already the Misaya heiress.
On a side note, Aoko herself was quite interested in this kind girl who could command fairies. She would occasionally teach Misaya some magical knowledge, allowing her to gain much.
Meanwhile, Touko ran into some trouble while pursuing her target. Following Satsuki's leads and accompanied by Azaka, she almost got herself, Azaka, and Ryougi Shiki killed by an incident caused by that damn monk.
Even without Touko and Cornelius Alba's help, the stubborn Souren Araya still found some low-tier substitute magi to finish building the Ogawa Apartments. He schemed to lure the unstable Ryougi Shiki there, planning to kill her and seize her body connected to the Root.
As a result, he also drew in Mikiya, the human search engine who noticed Shiki's strange disappearance. Both fell into Araya's trap.
Touko and Azaka rushed to the now-sealed Ogawa Apartments at this critical moment. Azaka immediately rescued her brother Mikiya.
Shiki's case was trickier: she still got into a car accident in this timeline, sacrificed her male personality, and gained the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. But without Touko's guidance, she nearly had a mental breakdown. Only thanks to Mikiya's constant care did she barely return to society.
The price, however, was that her control over the Mystic Eyes was insufficient to break Araya's spatial prison, so she remained imprisoned.
