Yamamoto pushed himself a little higher against the pillows, still under my subtle control, and spoke up in defense of his wife.
"Sister Fumi… it actually isn't Saki's fault… it—"
Fumi cut him off with a sharp, annoyed click of her tongue.
"It's because you indulge her too much. That's why she's become like this… careless and spoiled."
She turned her attention fully back to her brother, the protective edge in her voice softening only slightly.
"Have you taken any medicine? Or do you need me to take you to the hospital for a proper checkup?"
Yamamoto gave a weak, reassuring shake of his head.
"Don't worry, Sister. I'm totally fine. It was just a moment of dizziness. Nothing serious."
Fumi still looked unconvinced, but she didn't press further. Instead, she glanced at Saki with clear command.
"Saki, bring some tea for us."
