"Why are you doing this to me? To us?!" Her fingers dug into my shirt, her grip desperate, as if she could will me back to life through sheer force.
"I need you… Yuko needs you… Haruna needs you… How can you leave us like this?!" Her voice broke, her body wracked with sobs.
"You idiot… You fool…" She pressed her forehead to mine, her tears mixing with the blood on my skin. "Don't you dare leave me…"
Fumiko's voice was a roar as she yelled toward the hospital entrance. "SOMEBODY HELP! WE HAVE AN EMERGENCY!" She pressed her hands against my artery, her own tears falling onto my chest, but I let my body go limp, my breathing shallow. The blood pooled beneath me, a dark, spreading stain.
