Because of Eve's humility, Leah had started to treat her better. She merely stayed silent in response to Leah's comment and looked toward Blake with a glint of pity and sadness in her eyes. Maybe it was because she had lost her parents at a young age that made her more empathetic than most children her age.
Later on, their teacher left some candies on the table for the kids to distribute among themselves and left to attend to an emergency.
The kids went up to the teacher's table and grabbed a handful of candy while Blake was the only one who stayed behind.
Despite his maturity and intelligence, Blake was still a three-year-old kid and he loved candies too. But, he was not used to using a wheelchair and was reluctant for others to see him using it.
He was already plagued with insecurities at such a tender age and soon, the candies were all gone.
