Charlotte followed Kaiden to see who he wanted her to meet. She was wondering what tricks he had up his sleeve that time.
She followed him all the way to an apartment.
The moment he opened the door, she could hear laughter and voices coming from inside the apartment.
"Baby, baby, go to bed. Mommy is always here for you. Baby, baby, go to bed."
It was a mother coaxing her child to sleep. Somehow, her lullaby felt eerie and gave Charlotte the creeps.
She could not help but glance at Kaiden.
In a cold tone, Kaiden asked, "Ms. Charlotte, have you asked Henry the question that I requested?"
"I did. However, he says he doesn't know Rhea," Charlotte answered honestly.
"He said that he doesn't know Rhea? Rhea had his baby, and he has the nerve to say that he doesn't know her?! This is the funniest joke I have ever heard!"
Charlotte was shocked.
