Nonetheless, Jerone did not believe that.
However, he kept the thought to himself without saying much as he knew his sister was stubborn and had her heart set on Zane. She would not listen to anyone.
Charlotte waved at her brother. "Jerone, you can have this. I'm going back now. I'll collect it after two days."
However, she did not go back after Jerone left. She knew Zane was mad at her for taking the jade stone without his consent and would be looking for her everywhere.
She did not have the courage to go back and face him, so she decided to stay in a cave by the foot of the mountain.
Charlotte spent two days in the cave by herself.
During those two days, the temperature dropped unexpectedly. Lightning flashed across the sky, and rain poured down endlessly.
Jerone came back after two days and returned the jade stone to Charlotte.
