"Although I married a rich man, I never asked my husband to buy me expensive clothes, bags, cars, or villas, nor did I ever ask him to give me money."
Charlotte paused and looked at Lana intently. "Lana, being able to buy branded goods and driving nice cars doesn't mean you're living a good life. Strive for success with your own efforts. That is what you call a good life. Even if you marry into a so-called wealthy family, you shouldn't join the bandwagon and get blinded by material goods. That is how you can earn respect. If you really want to be a respected modern woman, stand tall and be an upright person. Or else, people will look down on you."
Lana was infuriated by her advice.
She stood up instantly. "Is this how you treat your future sister-in-law? This is ridiculous!" she yelled furiously and stormed out of the house.
Walker panicked and ran after her.
