Emma Campbell came out of the principal's office and found a quiet place to call John Brown. She explained the day's events, and after listening, John Brown said, "Emma, it's up to you to decide how to handle this. If you want to deal with those bastards, I'll support you until you're satisfied. But if you think they've been punished enough, we'll stop here. However, don't pay attention to that guy from the Bureau of Industry and Commerce. The fact that I haven't punished him is already being lenient. He can't continue as the office director."
Emma Campbell quickly replied, "I know, I know. Let's stop here. They've already been punished. I'm fine."
"Since you feel that way, then we'll leave it at that. They really got off easy."
Emma Campbell felt a warmth in her heart. It wasn't because John Brown dealt with those people for her, but because he respected her opinion. She hesitated for a moment, then told him about what Benjamin Woods had said, anxiously waiting for his response.
