"What! Richard's dead too?!"
In the center of the Safe Zone, inside a high-security room, Victor Harlan shot to his feet, eyes wide with disbelief. He stared down at the trembling man kneeling before him.
"Three hundred Tier 3 and Tier 4 Enhanced—wiped out by half?! You told me they only had seven people!"
"They… they did. Just seven," the man stammered, voice barely above a whisper.
"Seven?! Seven people did this to you? What the hell were you all doing—eating dirt and playing dead?!"
Victor's fury boiled over, his voice echoing off the steel walls. His son was dead. Now his brother too. The rage clawing at his chest was barely containable.
"Sir… they had a Tier 6 Awakened."
Victor froze.
"A Tier 6?" he repeated, stunned. "That's impossible."
Even the Harlan family—backed by wealth, power, and government ties—didn't have a single Tier 6 Awakened. Neither did the government itself, as far as he knew. And now some ragtag group of seven nobodies had one?
